We have to be down at the nanoscale when manipulating and controlling nanomaterials in a useful way.
"NanoSpark'21" is a project organized by the IEEE IES Student Branch Chapter of SLTC which gives an opportunity to everyone who wants to build their knowledge from the atomic level.
The project “NanoSpark’21” is categorized into two phases:
Phase 1- A webinar and a Panel Discussion with the theme of Nanotechnology through Electronics
Phase 2 - Article Contest
Article Contest
The competition will be held on 17th october 2021 to 24th october 2021 which will provide a great opportunity to the participants to write an article on “New innovations on nanotechnology in engineering field”. The main aim of this competition is to make the young generation aware of new innovations in nanotechnology and encourage them to explore new things in the technological world.
The top 3 winners will be awarded valuable cash prizes and all the participants are honoured and awarded with valuable E-certificates.
The cash prizes that will be awarded for the winners are,
🔵 1st place - Rs.10,000
🔵 2nd place - Rs.7,000
🔵 3rd place - Rs.3,000
The Webinar and panel discussion provides participants with a deep understanding of nanotechnology and it's a platform through which undergraduates could clear their doubts with respect to the field. And NanoSpark'21 motivates young innovators to obtain solutions to real-world problems via nanotechnology.

Introductory Webinar
The webinar on “Nanotechnology in changing technological world” will be the first event of the project and it will be held on the 14th October 2021 from 7.00 pm to 8.30 pm as a virtual session via Zoom online platform. Through this session, the participants will gain an understanding of nanotechnology, its uses on an industrial scale and the future of nanotech in various industries.
Panel Discussion
The second session will be a panel discussion, on the 16th October 2021, which provides a platform that the participants would be given the opportunity to witness a live panel discussion about nanotechnology by two panellists, Mr.Yasun Kannangara and Mr. Prabuddha Dissanayake who are well-educated in the field of nanotechnology. Apart from that, a Q & A session will take place through which participants would be able to clear their doubts on the subject.
