The IEEE Student Branch of Sri Lanka Technological Campus, was started in the year 2018 and consists of IEEE members from the School of Engineering and School of IT.
This is a very active Student Branch in Sri Lanka section with many activities throughout the year. And the best thing is some of these projects are conducted for not only the Undergraduates of SLTC but also for all the other undergraduates from other State and non-State universities.
Also, IEEE Student Branch of SLTC conducts many valuable national and international projects throughout the year. It’s a great privilege that the GISLA 2020 which is a national project and Knowledge Hub won the Best Emerging Student Branch Activity Award of IEEE Boost Award Ceremony organized by the Sri Lanka Student Activities Committee. Together we have done Let’s read; an international project, GISLA 2020, Knowledge Hub to increases the problem-solving abilities of the electronic and technology students, Orator’20; an Online Speech Carnival, Ardioflo, CyberHat 1.0, Codemania and many more to go. With the tireless work and undying commitment of our team were able to do a great job and this won’t be the end of this journey; best things are yet to come.
We mainly focus on achieving IEEE’s objectives. Our main objective is to create a new generation of knowledgeable innovators through technology and to provide our undergraduates valuable opportunities that are important to their future. IEEE Student Branch of SLTC always give a platform to build up their leadership qualities and spread technological knowledge among undergraduates.
Our Student Branch is a home for all the undergraduates who are willing to explore modern science and technology.

IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) is a global network of IEEE members and volunteers dedicated to promote women engineers and scientists, and inspiring girls around the world to follow their academic interests in a career in engineering and science. The IEEE WIE Affinity group of Sri Lanka Technological Campus (SLTC) is one of the emerging branches of the global network where it gives the opportunity to join with them and collaborate with the professionals in the industry while accompanying with valuable national and international projects.
